An installation of several video works and textile prints shows fragments of a speculative post-apocalyptic narrative.

In the wake of a climate catastrophe, Andy uploads their consciousness to the metaverse. But a mistake causes memories to be lost during the upload. Although the digital space offers countless possibilities, after a while they seem dull and monotonous. Gradually, the boundaries crumble. The once human consciousness merges with the digital. There is now no longer any difference between the “thing”, i.e. the digital existence, and the once human consciousness. And the thing can present itself on any form as a representation.

ALONE OUT THERE opens up a post-human space of possibility and poses questions about the future of identity, body and consciousness.
