LA GUERRA DE EVA
EXPERIMENTAL FICTION SHORT FILM • 2007 • MiniDV • 8 min.
LA GUERRA DE EVA examines the instinctive nostalgia and suffering caused by the vanishing of wild, primal nature. The film discusses the impossibility of returning to this paradisic origin. The topic “nature” or “paradise” functions as an analogy to an eventual primal human state, the innocence, tenderness and heartiness; the city as allegory of the technologized, cold, deadhearted coexistence of people, that function only. The paradise around innocent Eve, living happily in harmony with herself and her surroundings, abruptly changes: like through an earthquake a grey city appears at her mountain of home’s foot. Eva pries outin search for the vanished nature, that she is never able to regain.
